Let the night rides begin
Hey there bike riders. Just a reminder that our regular Thursday night Cog rides are still on, and due to the lovely season we are in the day light is fading away earlier. The rides are free, begin at 6:30 sharp from the shop and usually run for about 1 and a half hours. So,....from this Thursday on you need to have a rear red light and a good quality front light that will last at least 1.5 hours. The pace is usually fairly quick and we ride in the Silvan forest, (it's not a Warby trail ride) This Thursday is Pizza night so bring a couple of drinks if you wish and stick around for Pizza afterwards.
Cogmobile

Here at COG we ride our bikes to work as much as possible, (even Bardi the Cog dog travels to work in her bike powered chariot). However when transporting bikes and travelling into the bigsmoke, we go by Cogmobile. The 1959 FC Holden recently transported Damo and Paul to Canberra for the National MTB championships.
extreme conditions for walkers
The OXFAM challenge walkers endured sweltering, windy conditions yesterday only to be rained on all night and today. The 100km charity walk passes COG at around their half way mark, providing them with our usual hearty muffins and fairtrade coffee.
We wish the walkers good luck.

The Long Weekend
Another long weekend is here. A great time to go for a ride, the weather will be great. The Warurton Trail will be fantastic, in fact, we're off ourselves for a ride along it. Saturday night after we shut up shop we will be heading down the trail with a posse to the Alpine Retreat Hotel in Warburton, a few vodkas at the Polish Jester (oh yes and Polish food) and then heading back in the morning ready to open up and serve egg pies and coffee to our friendly clientele. And I emphasise FRIENDLY. Yes, I've worked in a lot of hospitality places and there is never such a happy crowd as those who are out enjoying themselves on two wheels! Want to join us Saturday night? There's plenty of room on the Trail, give us a call.
So make sure you get out this weekend and pedal and smile!
